Across rural Spain, businesses are closing not because they fail but because nobody is left in the village to take them over. Generación Encontrada (Found Generation) connects owners who want to retire with people who want to build a life outside the big cities.
What it does
- A meeting point between businesses without a successor and would-be entrepreneurs, starting in Castilla y León.
- Outreach through local media and social channels to reach people considering a move.
- Mentoring on the business plan and the first 6–12 months of ownership.
- Help finding state, regional and local grants for rural businesses.
Where it is
The site is live as a Spanish-first landing page with an English toggle and a sign-up list. We are working with provincial governments (diputaciones), local action groups and town councils to validate demand; an earlier Next.js prototype is archived.
